The industrial spray painter will spray surfaces of finished boats and products with protective material such as enamel, epoxy, formcoat and Linex.Responsibilities:Paint primer, and a premium finish and clear coat using HVLP and high pressure airless equipment.Selecting and mixing coating paints to desired color and prepare spraying equipment such as cleaning or adjusting spray guns.Be capable of reading and understanding technical documents such as paint mixing procedures and maintaining sprayer equipment as required.Have the ability and desire to become efficient with painting techniques, meet company productivity rates, maintain mil thickness, and learn all aspects of job as required.Cleaning spraying equipment with solvent or other recommended cleaning solutions daily.Maintaining the paint mix room while following the company safety policies.Maintaining proper respirator care and operation and using the breathing air supply system when spraying epoxy paints.Continue to grow your lean knowledge and use the tools to identify and assist with continuous improvement.Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Working hours: 5:00 PM - 3:30 AMSkills:Ability to read, understand complex blueprints and project specifications.Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detailAbility to read and execute on SOP, quality and safety processes.Ability to work independently.Good communication and team skills.Ability to lift 25-50 pounds frequently.Education:High SchoolExperience:1-4 yearsQualifications:Education and/or Experience: Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
