      As a key member of Plant Management Team, the Continuous Improvement Manager will be responsible for driving the culture of sustainable continuous improvement, operational excellence and delivering business expectations.Responsibilities:- Define and design a standard CI program in partnership with central CI and Plant team with the goal of driving continuous operational excellence; through capability building, variability removal and KPI improvements.- Functional pillars (Safety, Quality, Focused Improvement, Operator Care & Maintenance, Preventative Maintenance, Education & Development) processes, supporting templates and foundational tools; with ability to appropriately customize for individual plants / functions models.- Refine / improve elements of the program according to learning from implementations.- Implement and sustain the CI Program.- Establish CI Pillars for agreed functions across the plant.- Establish a program to assess and evaluate organizational progress with the implementation of CI model.- Identify gaps and creative problem solving.- Establish and govern local steering committees.- Develop coaching and training programs to train individuals on pillars, templates, tools and systems.- Deliver and monitor quantifiable KPIs including Waste Reduction, Line Efficiency Improvements, First Time Quality Pass Rate, Changeover Management and Process Control Systems.- Lead the implementation of various CI enablement initiatives to support the execution of core CI objectives.- Define a standard implementation guide / work instruction.- Define a standard for factory data model analysis.- Other CI enablement tools as required.- Support with other activities in relation to continuous improvement.Working hours: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PMSkills:- Ability to lead, mentor, coach and influence others with or without direct authority.- Must have above average analytical and problem-solving skills.- Results driven with the mind-set of creating competitive advance for the organization.- Create and communicate a compelling vision and inspired sense of purpose.- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to resolve conflict, drive change management and project governance.- Balance of strategic thinking and execution excellence.- Must be able to read, write and communicate in English language.- Familiarity with JD Edwards ERP system desired.- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and Power PointEducation:BachelorsExperience:4-7 yearsQualifications:- Undergraduate degree from an accredited college/university preferred.- Black Belt Certification preferred; Green Belt Certification required.- Minimum 5-8 years of work experience in a Continuous Improvement function (Lean, Six Sigma and/or Total Productive Maintenance) Apply today and find a job YOU will love!Spherion has helped thousands of people just like you find work happiness!
