      Bagger are filling bags from hoppers and loading onto pallets. Depending on the product line being made, some lines there could be 10 bags per hour, some lines are 30 bags per hour.       Operate an assigned set of knitting machines and inspect sock quality to produce a product that meets or exceeds customer specifications.Responsibilities:Run knitting machines on different lines to meet production demands on a daily basis.Communicate with the Mechanic regarding flaws in the knitting process and any other conditions pertaining to the knitting machines that could cause off-quality products. Must be able to repair yarn breaks and start up mechanical stops as required. Read and follow work orders and manufacturing specifications accurately.At the beginning of the shift, collect correct materials, per work orders, push the cart to assigned knitting line and place supplies behind knitting machines. Empty carts weigh from twenty-five to thirty pounds. Filled carts weigh from fifty to one hundred pounds. Obtaining yarns should be done at the start and middle of the shift and when a style or color change occurs. Grasp cone(s) of yarn/nylon weighing up to five pounds and place on spindle of yarn rack located behind knitting machine. Spindle heights range from thirty-eight to seventy inches from the floor. Thread the knitting machines by properly threading yarn/nylon through small eyelets as necessary. Requires reaching above shoulder level. Bend over and grasp socks that have accumulated in the knitting machine When cycling, thoroughly inspect the last sock knit at each machine. Inspect additional socks if a defect is observed. With one hand, pull one sock its full length over other hand and arm, twist arm and spread fingers apart to get a close look at the quality of the knitting. Pull sock off arm inside out and repeat process, inspecting the inside of the sock. Pull the sock off right side out. Every sixth sock knit by each assigned machine is to be inspected in this manner. During an eight hour shift, an average of four hundred (400) socks would be inspected in this manner. Complete daily work tickets, production forms and all other required paperwork in a timely manner.Ensure that the correct materials are threaded into each assigned machine. Manage the flow of materials and supplies; the accurate and timely management of shipments is central to the cost-effective operation of business; Staging products based on customer orders and assisting with the organization and proper material flow throughout the facility establishing a plan encompassing material movement.Responsibilities:- Collaborate with various departments to manage efficient flow of all materials.- Evaluate all production schedules and determine all required materials and ensure availability of all materials.- Prepare reports for all materials and manage transportation of materials from one department to another and prepare all production records on a computerized system.- Coordinate with all department managers to ensure accountability for all materials.- Maintain all sensitive data information and prepare appropriate project schedules.- Maintain all information for the status of materials on a weekly basis.- Review documents, such as open orders, reports and inventories to determine needed materials- Staging of raw materials and packaging for ongoing operations.- Account for inventories of raw materials/packaging materials necessary to meet production demands.- Confer with department supervisors or leads to assess progress and discuss needed changes.- Confer with leads/supervisors in production, bottling, shipping, and receiving/purchasing to accommodate material arrivals, shortages, and capacity concerns.- Create the blending plan based on the production plan and drum/tanker arrivals.- Examine documents, materials, or products and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications.- Compile information, such as gallons produced, variances, obsolete inventories so that status reports can be prepared.- Track shipments/production and give updates to upper management.- Participate in daily planning meetingsWorking hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMSkills:- Basic computer skills (excel, word, outlook) preferred.- Ability to read/write and interpret instructional details and related information. - Handle stressful situations such as investigations/confidential information/ deadlines.- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.Education:High SchoolExperience:1-4 yearsQualifications:- High school diploma or GED required; Associates in relevant fields preferred.- 2+ years of food production, warehouse,forklift and inventory tracking systems (WMS) experience Please apply with a current resume for immediate consideration.Spherion has helped thousands of people just like you find work happiness!
